Ok, I'll admit that I did use a cake mix for these but that certainly doesn't mean that it didn't take alot of effort; I whisked everything by hand, which took a lot of elbow grease. I got the cake mix (which includes the icing) for about £1 from home bargains, though it does not provide: the eggs, water, butter and vegetable oil. These came with white chocolate sprinkles - mmmmm yummy! I'm quite a fan of cake mixes as they almost always turn out perfect. :D

Unusual book haul♡
I've already seen the first two series of game of thrones and the first hunger games movie, and I really really enjoyed them both. I told myself multiple times that I would read the books as I am a aware that reading these stories is a completely different experience to watching them on the telly. Plus, my bestie wouldn't stop raving about them all. A funny story actually: she kept telling me to look at the books written by George R.R. Martin and each time, i would say 'Georgio Armani? I didn't know you were into high end fashion'. I went shopping with the intention of purchasing one book (maximum two), however when I spotted the complete hunger games series, in a charity shop, for just £2 each (RRP £7.99), I simply couldn't resist. Also, a game of thrones was the book I was most looking forward to, so I had to get that and there was an offer at WHSmith to buy one, get one half price... And that is the story as to why I returned home yesterday, with aching arms and five books - two of which are 2 inches thick each. It was definitely worth it as, despite only having read the first 20 pages, I am completely hooked to 'A game of thrones', by George R.R. Martin. I am absolutely in love this book; the way it is written is extraordinary and I love the little maps in the front where you can look up all the places that are mentioned. Just between you and me, me reading these is also going to aid the conversation between me and a certain boy I know... shhhhh.

♡old baby clothes♡ :D
Looking through the cupboards in your house can prove to be a really enjoyable thing to do; it's surprising, what you can find when you take the time and effort. Over the years, I've seen various tigger and Peter rabbit baby grows of my brother's but nothing much of my own. Finally, it was time for life to give me the opportunity to see all the lovely clothes that i used to wear as a baby. I must say that it was really exciting, going through them all and my heart melted at the sight of them. The ickle trainers still had the dried dog poop on - awwww.

DIY lip colour review
These 'lipsticks' or lip colours are made using a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil and a crayon. I've heard about this quite a lot in the past and finally decided to give it a go. I had high expectations for these homemade products, due to the amount of recipes and recommendations online. However, for me, they turned out really bad. I made 4 in total therefore have quite a range in textures as they never come out the same; some are really waxy and some are really oily and melt onto the lips instantly at body temperature. None of the ones I made actually showed up much on the lips despite how lovely they look in the containers. The oily textured ones stay on for barely a minute, which is really quite useless, although they are quite effective for quick soft lips.
I was really hoping for this colour to be similar to my rimmel kate lasting finish lipstick in 107, as that is one of my favourites. However, it took a huge amount of this to even get it to tint my lips, which was quite disappointing if I'm honest.
Best wishes,
Emily xx

Luckily, my dad bought this expensive coconut oil for the purpose of healthy cooking therefore i did not waste money on this.

Porridge for breakfast♡
Recently, all I have been having having for breakfast is porridge each day. This is because it is tasty, provides slow release energy and includes no nasty ingredients. All we use to make this is: oats, soya milk and water - fulla goodness. It's one of the very few cereals that hasn't been processed and added to. The packet directions do suggest using semi-skimmed cows milk and oats but my dad discovered that the porridge is thick and milky regardless of wether you use the full amount of milk or not. Also, we figured that soya milk was the best option over cows milk as it is easier to digest and has various other positives - click here for more information on this.
Porridge can be a little bland on its own so we like to sweeten it with a blob of jam. Strawberry is my favourite!
Papa bear's great big bowl was too hot, mama bear's medium-sized bowl was too cold but baby bear's tiny little bowl was just right :)
Because the oats are packaged just how they are, you can purchase the cheapest bag you can find, without worrying about a difference in the taste.
Best wishes,
Emily xx

♡REVIEW: lush immaculate eggception♡
As I walked to the till with this bath ballistic in hand, I felt slightly unsure if it was actually worth paying £6.95 for this one product and although it is bigger than some of the others, it was smaller than I'd expected (zoella Is a very tiny person and makes everything look bigger than it actually is). However, I was pleasantly surprised when the lady at the till told me that this does 3 separate baths; you break the egg in half, use the two halves for two separate baths then whatever is inside of the egg for the third bath. I won't ruin the surprise of what is inside though I will say that is is the same as another product from lush but shaped differently. I only know what is inside the yellow version of this but I expect that the pink one will be different.
The egg 'shell' is quite thick and there is definitely plenty of product there, however it seems to fizz and dissolve very quickly. The green/orange flower does not foam and reacts with the water just the same as the rest of the ballistic. The water is turned an almost neon, yellowy lime green. This unfortunately leaves a yellow stain around where the water has been in your bath tub and can take some rubbing to remove. It smells a little bit like vanilla but also quite fresh though, surprisingly, this smell isn't actually very strong during use. There isn't really anything special about it e.g. glitter, popping candy or foaming colour.
I enjoyed using this bath ballistic and am eager to give the pink one a go next time.

♡REVIEW: lush dragon's egg ballistic♡
This is one of those lush products that overpowers all the others and just leaves your bedroom smelling like a lush shop - mmmmmm. I would describe the smell as a combination of sherbet and lemons; quite a strong, sweet and tangy smell (extremely refreshing) which I absolutely love! It is off-white with small colourful foam circles.
I honestly didn't know what to expect from this ballistic as this was my first use and I wanted it to be a surprise therefore resisted looking at any online reviews.
As I placed the ballistic into the water, it instantly started to fizz and go foamy and as the white dissolved, the bits of colour where released into the water. They did not make any colourful effects and soon lost their colour. As the ballistic became smaller, I started to notice a yellowy gold colour foaming out from the centre, which had finely milled glitter in it. This really excited me and was a really pleasant surprise. Unappealingly the final colour of the water looked like wee however, arguably, a gold colour. Frankly, I didn't care! This was because I thought the smell and glitter compensated for the odd colouring but I thought I would mention that in case anyone would be put off. It also features popping candy which pops against the plastic of the bath tub and is loud enough to hear without your head being underwater. This is actually now one of my all-time-favourite lush products to date.
