chocolate hearts ♥

I went and bought the 'something sweet' magazine at the weekend as I quite fancied making something simple but yummy and it also gave me an excuse to wear the watercolour print apron that i bought myself in Paris. The pack came with some heart moulds, a pink box and some gold coloured foil wrappers. I couldn't actually find any cooking chocolate so instead settled for some Cadbury's dairy milk. I heated up the chocolate in a glass bowl which was in a pan of water on the hob. I made sure this was on a low heat as I didn't want the chocolate to go bitter. I overfilled each mould slightly so that I could slide a butter knife across in order to make the top really smooth. I then left the tray in the fridge for about five to ten minutes while I watched a bit of hollyoaks. The chocolates were extremely difficult to remove from the mould as it was made of plastic and I was unable to push them out. In the end, I had to use a knife which worked but left chips and marks in the chocolate. The chocolates actually had a very creamy texture and melted in your mouth instantly which I found strange but nice. Well this was fun!
