Notice that I didn't put a heart in the title :/ this is because, although I could never bring myself to say that I didn't like this product, I was slightly disappointed. The idea that this ballistic had actual petals inside of it seemed like the coolest thing while I was stood in LUSH. However they didn't turn out so pretty... basically it was just a few bits (which kind of looked like dead spiders) floating around my bath. Despite this, I did like the way that the pink and green foamed and made nice swirls on the water. Unfortunately, the colour that It turned the water was also a disappointment; it went a really deep green which was abit gross. I certainly won't be repurchasing this but I don't regret testing it out. Considering it being marketed as being a nice girly treat product, I definitely think that it should have been a little more pleasant and pretty but at least I will find it easier to choose between products next time. :)
I suppose that this may appeal to some of you so click here to view the product
Best wishes,
Emily xx

sleek i divine oh so special palette ♡
Sleek blushes get a ridiculous amount of coverage on the internet and I definitely agree with the people that say they are super pigmented, amazing quality and great value for money. Due to this, I decided to give their eyeshadow palettes a go as I had high expectations for these. I did notice that their colour choices weren't too good and there are only about three of the palettes that actually appeal to me as many of the others are bright, neon colours which quite frankly scare me and I am not yet at a stage in my life where I would just go for it. I chose the oh so special palette (which I have actually had my eye on for a while now). The colours in this are generally champagne and neutral shades which are right up my street. There is a nice mixture of all over lid colours, crease colours, possible eyebrow colours (these are too dark for me) and an inner corner highlighter; a total of 12 shades at the excellent price of £7.99.
The palette comes in a pretty box and the compact somehow feels really expensive, though I must add that I find opening it quite the task. The compact is perfect for on the go and includes a nice big mirror :)

mini lush haul ♡
I recently had a trip to Middlesbrough with just my mum and we had a really awesome day, we went in so many shops that we wouldn't have been able to if my brother and dad came (what usually happens). Luckily, when it came to lush, I resisted having a splurge and instead settled for 3 amazing products.
Dragon's egg bath ballistic
Secret garden bath ballistic
Immaculate egg-ception
Click here to view the lush mothers day range and click here for their easter range.
I intend on doing reviews about these products and as I have already used the secret garden ballistic, that will be coming Soon!
Best wishes,
Emily xx
P.S lush products are PERFECT for mother's day presents!

how to effortlessly keep your skin hydrated
I'm going to start by saying how important it is to have hydrated skin in order to look fresh and awake; just as important as your beauty sleep. I know and understand how difficult it is to frequently drink water throughout the day therfore when I read this in my girls' book of glamour, guide to being a goddess (which I've had for donkeys) I thought that it would definitely benefit some of you.
Central heating can draw the moisture out of your skin, leaving It dry and dull. To avoid this, you need to keep the air in your bedroom moist. You can either place a well watered plant on your windowsill or keep a bowl of water near a radiator. The water will gradually evaporate and humidity the air, keeping your nice and skin moist. :)

something you maybe didn't know about makeup
I have to admit that i haven't actually known this fact for even a day but when I was told by my mum, I thought that I ought to do my research and share it with t'interweb. If you look closely at the little symbols on the packaging of most cosmetics(generally found under the directions of use and ingredients), you will notice an image of a container...
These are PAO (period after opening) symbols which tell you an estimation of how long you should keep the product before throwing it out. Although it seems unlikely, makeup can actually go out of date and can raise the risk of infections, especially in the eye area. If you choose to ignore this (I completely understand as makeup can be pretty expensive), please promise me that you will replace any eye products after their PAO recommendation is up as they hold the biggest risk.
Natural and organic products containing fewer or no preservatives have shorter lifespans therefore potentially harbour higher levels of bacteria. These products somehow tend to appeal more to people but, knowing this, I will surely steer clear.
To many beauty lovers, this will come as really bad news and I know that alot of girls want to build up their makeup collection so this is an awkward one but now that you know, you can decide what you want to do.
I hope this was useful to you,
Emily x
